Man recovers £200,000.00 for loss of three fingers at work
We recently settled a major case for a worker who lost three fingers whilst operating a band saw. The particular complication of this case was that the company immediately went into administration and claimed that they had not paid their most recent premium for employer’s liability insurance. This would have left our client who had suffered horrific life changing and career threatening injuries with no insurers from whom to claim. Despite being told that there was no insurance in place, we obtained copies of company documents from the liquidators and trawled through bank statements until we found a direct debit with an insurers reference. From this we were able to establish that the direct debit had been used to pay the premium and from that we traced the appropriate policy. Only by this diligent hard work were we able to finally secure our client the compensation he deserved.
Woman bitten by dog on the face secures £13,000.00
We recently settled a case for a woman who was bitten on her face by a dog. Our client for some reason did not want to take court proceedings but was eventually persuaded by family and friends – when the scars on her face didn’t settle – to take legal action. The delay meant that the case came to us two weeks before the three year date of when all court proceedings must be issued in personal injury cases. Despite this considerable pressure we managed to settle the case within a further six months in the sum of £13,000.00 for the minor facial scarring that was still apparent.

Man recovers £1,500.00 on car engine production line
Acting for a client who sustained a very minor injury while working on a car production line, we obtained the above award. The reason we mention this on our website is that the defendants resisted this claim all the way to a full trial.
