We recently achieved and award of £5000 for injuries sustained by a young client whilst attending school. The schoolboy was struck by a scaffolding pole that fell whilst work was being undertaken at his school.

The pole struck the child’s arm causing a deep and painful laceration and a scar that remains visible.

In cases such as this the claim would lie against the insurers of the school and the contractors.  All settlements of personal injury cases for children must be approved by the court. We therefore prepared all the papers including a medical report, photographs and an advice from a barrister and attended before a District Judge.

The Judge was happy that the settlement we had achieved was the correct amount to compensate our young client for his personal injury and was sufficient compensation for scarring that would last a lifetime.
