Lampkins specialist legal team already representing metal hip implant patients ahead of MHRA news
The Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (MHRA) has advised that patients who have undergone hip replacements using a metal hip implant should be monitored annually for life.
The health regulator issued the advice following a joint BBC Newsnight and British Medical Journal investigation which highlighted problems with metal hip devices have been long known, but no action has been taken to block their use.
Mark Lampkin heads up a law firm near Chester that specialise in personal injury cases, offering expertise in defective medical products. The firm are already representing a growing number of individuals from Chester, Flintshire and other parts of the UK making claims for compensation.
Mr.Lampkin said “Annual checks for patients are important because evidence does show that patients have a small risk of suffering complications from having a metal-on-metal hip implant.”
