We acted for the son of a classic motorcycle owner who was knocked over his handlebars to the floor whilst stationary at the entrance to a roundabout. He was due to ride at the Thundersprint event, but was unable to after suffering multiple injuries from the collision. The case was unusual in that the defendant and the defendant’s insurers claimed the biker had not actually fallen from the bike.
Our client was in the left lane ready to turn left off the roundabout when the driver came around the corner and straight into the back of him. The bike hit the ground with such force that it bent the forks.
The car insurers accepted liability straight away but as they believed the biker had not fallen from the bike, they did not accept to pay out for the damaged clothing. We backed our client and issued court proceedings forcing a 100% outcome for his injuries and trauma.
As a firm with years of experience with motorcycle related claims we’re very pleased to have achieved a great result for this client.
