We are pleased to have achieved an award of £2000 for minor arm injuries suffered by a schoolboy client who was struck by the mirror of a vehicle whilst walking to school on a country road.

Living in a rural area certainly has its dangers and where there are no pavements, schoolchildren often will have to walk in the carriageway. In our view, if pedestrians are in the road or more importantly if they are expected to be in the road then motorists should modify their driving accordingly.

The driver in this case drove too close to the group of schoolboys, his mirror catching our client on the arm.

Fortunately some of his fellow pupils were quick witted enough to make a note of the registration number of the vehicle and that was all we had to go on. I cannot congratulate my team enough for ending up with a full settlement that has been paid into court and will be there to help our young client when he is 18.
